Setting up Your Fiber Inspection Probe and ConnectorMax2

FIP-400B

Managing and Selecting Test Configurations



Analysis mode

: Select the type of analysis between Outside plant

(selected by default) and Manufacturing. The manufacturing mode
is more sensitive for scratches and defects detection.



Cladding diameter:

This value is set at 125

m by default.



Zone diameters

: You can change the zone dimension for single

fiber connectors and Transceiver fiber receptacles.

Note:

Zone C (adhesive) cannot be removed and the superior diameter of zone D
cannot exceed 280

Note:

When a multifiber connector is selected, zone D is not available.

Note:

When you duplicate and edit a test configuration, you cannot change the
connector type field.
