6.3 Ignition
The Excel Roadster DX8 comes standard with theft prevention by means of an ignition key. The ignition is located
under the dashboard on the tiller. The key should always be in the ignition when you want to use your scooter.
You can turn on the scooter by turning the key clockwise. When you want to turn off the scooter, turn the key
counter-clockwise.
6.4 Armrests
The Excel Roadster DX8 is equipped with height adjustable, removable armrests that can also be flipped up. In this
manual we describe how to adjust these on your scooter. Flipping the armrests up can be done simply by pulling
the armrest upwards. Flipping up the armrest makes getting in and out of your scooter a lot easier.
Height adjustment
Not only can the armrests of the Excel Roadster DX8 be flipped up, they can also be adjusted in height. To change
the height of the armrest, loosen the starknob on the back of the armrest. Next, you can move the armrest upwards
or downwards. When the desired height is achieved, tighten the starknob.
Width adjustment
The Excel Roadster DX8 can be adjusted in width. Under the seat is a black starknob. If you want to adjust the width,
loosen this starknob and lightly pull on the armrest. The armrest will slide outwards, widening the space between
the two armrests. When the desired width is achieved, tighten the starknob.
The armrests can also be removed completely. When you want to remove the armrests, after loosening the
starknob, slide out the armrest all the way.
