UPnP Music Library
When a USB drive is connected to a PlayPoint DM for the first time, it will be automatically scanned for
music files. The PlayPoint DM will build a UPnP library (database) with metadata and album art from
your music files. Scanning large USB hard drive may take several hours. The UPnP music library is
available only when there is a USB drive attached to the PlayPoint DM.
After adding or deleting files from the USB drive, the UPnP music library needs to be updated. Press the
Update
button on the Music Library screen. The UPnP icon will stop flashing when the update is
completed.
To delete the UPnP music library:
•
Power off the PlayPoint DM
•
Detach all USB drives
•
Power on the PlayPoint DM
•
Navigate to the
Music Library
screen and tap the
Update
button
To avoid accidental data loss we recommend powering down the exaSound PlayPoint DM
before disconnecting a USB drive.
Always maintain a backup copy of your music files. We will not be responsible for any data
loss. Never disconnect a USB drive during playback.
