(221L-FC)
The Fibre Menu provides information about the 221L-FC library and tape
drives in the Fibre Channel environment. From the Fibre Menu, you can view
the library’s Port Address, Loop IDs, and World Wide Names.
To view Fibre Channel information:
1. 1. 1. 1. Press
[MENU]
to display the menus. Press the down arrow key until “Fibre
Menu” appears. The Fibre Menu screen shows the current Loop ID for each
tape drive and the library. Each ID is a two-digit hexadecimal number.
In the following example, Drive 1 is 01, Drive 2 is 02, and the library is set to
00.
Note: Drive 1 is the tape drive closest to the fixed cartridge slots; Drive 2 is
located directly to the right of Drive 1.
The second line of the Fibre Menu may include one of the codes listed in
Table 5-1 instead of a Loop ID.

Loop ID Code Description
? The Loop ID is unknown because the Loop Initialization
process (LIP) is not complete.
HW The library’s Fibre Channel interface card is not installed.
B A drive blank is installed at this tape drive location.
SA Soft addressing is in use.
NP The library or tape drive is in non-participating mode because
it could not obtain a Loop ID.
