Use in a bed
Follow the instructions on the previous page ensuring that the legs are placed.as shown on cover.and
there is sufficient bend in the knee to avoid hyper extension.. Rotate for one revolution to ensure the
unit is positioned correctly It is usually necessary to deploy the stabilizing bars when the machine is
used from the bed This will prevent the machine tipping up if the user is pushing.
The advantage of starting an early recovery exercise program for individuals following surgery,
influenza and even for people who are confined to bed short or long term, increases their flexibility,
adds to the quality of life both physically and mentally and probably avoids long term problems that,
arise because of inactivity.
Understanding the Control Unit
The Control Unit contains all the electronics and switches necessary to control the operation of the
mini/pediatric exerciser. It is secured to the machine with velcro and to the Motor and the Power Pack
with
a retractile cable. This permits hand/Lap operation for ease of use. It is best to store the cord in its
compartment following use.
The Control Unit has a
RED Switch
, forward/off/reverse and a
BLACK Speed Switch.
Choose
either
Lo/ Med or Hi
Then start the machine by pressing the Red Switch to either Forward or
reverse. To turn the machine off, return the Red Switch to the of position.
Safety Shut-off
If for any reason the machine should stall, through excessive resistance or acute spasm lasting more
than 10 seconds, the machine will automatically shut down. Turn the RED switch to the off position,
wait 30 seconds and then turn on again The machine will recommence operation.
