SECTION 2: KEY FEATURES OF GANYMEDE
COAXIAL MIDRANGE/TWEETER
Ganymede features a brand new, smaller driver complement based on the research that went
into Pulsar and Quasar. Tremendous care was taken to maintain the exceptional performance
of our flagship 18cm coaxial and 22cm subwoofers in these new smaller 15cm and 18cm drive
units. The coaxial in particular retains nearly all of the technology of its larger counterpart.
Below are four key attributes that make this driver so special.
1.
The same 25mm Composite Sound Metamodal TX
™
diaphragms found in Pulsar and Quasar
are deployed in Ganymede’s dome tweeters as well. Woven from the same Textreme
™
spread
tow carbon fabric as our midranges, but leveraging the unique, audio specific expertise of
Composite Sound, the fiber architecture and geometry of this diaphragm has been fully
optimized not just for stiffness and directivity, but to actively control resonances and modes.
The end result is a perfect pistonic response nearly 10khz higher than our previous generation
