1. Product Introduction
1.1 Overview
NPC-8208 is a medium/high-end network application platform based on X86
architecture. The PC contains Intel® Q170 or C236 chipset, and supports Windows7,
Windows8, Windows8.1, Windows10, Windows Server 2008/R2, Server2012/R2 and
above Linux (kernel 2.6 or above) operating systems.
The PC adopts standard 2U, 19-inch rack mount and modular structure design, and
supports two drawable HDD bracket, 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA HDD, and supports
four front drawable ENS family network modular cards based on PCI-E, such as: 2
electrical ports, 2 optical ports, 4 electrical ports, 4 optical ports, 8 electrical ports, 8
optical ports, 4 optical ports and 4 electrical ports, 20 GbE, 40 GbE and many other
kinds of ENS modular cards used for optical port or electrical port expansion. The
product also supports single power supply or redundant power supply, and can meet
various network security application requirements in the market.
NPC-8208 can be widely used in firewall, anti-virus wall, load balance,
Internet-based behavior management and audit, application delivery, flow
management, VPN, DNS, IDS/IPS, UTM and other applications.
