• Your breast may change over time. Should this occur, choose a different size
for maximum comfort.
• Included flange sizes may not fit all breast and nipple sizes, but
additional sizes can be purchased separately. If you are having issues

Using Your Breast Pump
1
Correct Flange Size Vs. Too Small or Too Large
A proper flange size is needed for comfort and to maintain your milk supply. As your
flange size can change several times throughout your journey, ensure your pump has
multiple sizes available.
FLANGE TOO SMALL
While pumping, some
or all of your nipple rubs
against the sides of the
breast flange tunnel. Use
a larger size.
CORRECT FLANGE SIZE
While pumping, your nipple
should move freely in the
breast flange tunnel. You
should see space around the
nipple. A minimal amount
of your areola is drawn into
the tunnel with the nipple.
FLANGE TOO LARGE
While pumping, more
areola is drawn into the
breast flange with your
nipple. Your areola may
rub against the side of the
breast flange tunnel. Use
a smaller size.
To ensure a good seal, place the flange
A
gently,
but firmly, against your breast, with your nipple
directly in the center, as shown. Hold the bottle
upright to ensure that milk flows into the bottle.
Use the flange or appropriate flange insert that is
the most comfortable and seals against your breast
the best.
A
Note: Use only one soft flange insert per flange.
Pressing the flange too hard against your breast can
restrict milk flow.
