PCIe Mini Expansion Slots
Two PCIe x1 lanes in combination with USB port on the ICH7-M is interfaced directly to
two PCIe mini expansion slots. These enable the addition of PICe mini expansion
devices. The PCIe mini slots are shown in
Figure 15 .

ICH7-M Real Time Clock
256 bytes of battery backed RAM is provided by the Motorola MC146818A real time clock
(RTC) integrated into the ICH7-M. The RTC operates on a 3V battery and 32.768KHz
crystal. The RTC keeps track of the time and stores system data even when the system
is turned off.
