4. IR Med User Manual
Prior to taking a measurement, the IR Med and person must be at
the same stable ambient (room) temperature for 15 minutes before
operating.
Step 1:
Aim the sensor at the person’s forehead, keeping a distance
of 3cm.
Do not make contact with the forehead.
This will affect the
readings and may contaminate the instrument.
Step 2:
Gently press and release the ON (left) button. Keep aiming at
the person’s forehead for approximately 2.5 seconds.
Step 3:
Take a reading - once the IR Med has taken a reading it will
hold that value until another reading is taken or it is turned off.
To take another reading repeat steps 1-3.
To turn the IR Med off, press the OFF (right) button.
The IR Med will turn off automatically after approximately 90 seconds
of inactivity.
