AIR FILTER

• Unscrew the plug and remove the air filter cap by pushing down onto the

fastening clips. Remove the filter element and clean it with a brush. If the

filter element is clogged, place it in a container with petrol. If you are using

a blower device, allow air to enter.

• Insert the filter element again and re-engage the cap.

MAINTENANCE CHAIN

For quick and efficient cutting performance of the chain must be maintained

The warning signs of a poorly maintained chain.

• Wood chips are small and powdery.

• Considerable effort needed to move the chain in the wood.

• The chain saws on one side only.

The following causes concerning the chain saw ensure a poor outcome:

• Incorrect sharpening angle can increase the risk of kickback.

• The height of the depth stop defines the depth of cut of the chain blade into the wood, as well

as the size of the resulting chips. Too high a depth stop increases the risk of backlash, while a

low depth to reduce the wood chips and reduces the cutting efficiency.

• Chain links which have come into contact with hard objects (e.g. bricks), or are carried by

abrasive materials such as mud and sand.

CHAIN SHARPENING

For best performance, it is essential to the chain regularly to grind. This can be done by a

specialist or yourself, if you get a grinding instruction (make sure you have mastered this

process). Grinding all the teeth have the same length while maintaining the same grinding

angle. A good and rapid cutting quality can be achieved only if the chain links are ground in a

homogeneous manner.

The chain must be cut when:

• the sawdust is powdery

• it becomes necessary pressure on it to exert the saw

• the cut is not straight

• increased vibrations are detected

• increasing fuel consumption

When working on the chain must wear protective gloves.
