b) Silencing the alarm and using the snooze function
• An alarm tone will be played at the preset alarm time, and the bell symbol (
) will flash on the
display. The alarm will turn off automatically after one minute.
• To snooze for 5 minutes, press the
LIGHT/SNOOZE
button (12) when the alarm goes off. The
snooze symbol (
Z
z
) will appear on the display. The alarm will go off again after 5 minutes. This
process will be repeated until you turn off the alarm.
• Press any other button (apart from the
LIGHT/SNOOZE
button) to turn off the alarm.
c) Using the backlight
• Press the
LIGHT/SNOOZE
button (12) to turn on the backlight for approx. 10 seconds (when
batteries are inserted).
• Press the
LIGHT/SNOOZE
button to change the brightness (when the power adapter is connected).
There are two brightness settings.
d) Viewing the atmospheric pressure readings
• Press and hold the
BARO./-
button (2) for approximately 2 seconds to switch between the absolute
and relative pressure readings. "ABS" indicates the absolute pressure; "REL" indicates the relative
pressure.
• Press the
BARO./-
button (2) to display the average pressure reading. Press the
BARO./-
button
again to display the average pressure reading for the last 12, 24, 48, and 72 hours.
e) Viewing the dew point
• Press the
TEMP./+
button (4) to display the dew point. "DEW POINT" will be displayed next to the
reading. Press the
TEMP./+
button again to go back to the home screen.
• You can also go back to the home screen by pressing the
LIGHT/SNOOZE
button (12), or by waiting
for 30 seconds.
f) Disabling the frost alarm
• The weather station features a frost alarm that goes off when the outdoor temperature is between
-3 and +2 °C. You can turn the acoustic alarm on or off as desired. The
symbol will flash
when the alarm goes off. The alarm will turn off automatically when the temperature drops below
-3 °C or rises above +2 °C.
• To stop the alarm manually, press any button. The
symbol will still be shown on the display,
but there will be no alarm tone.
