Set-up
The device should be operated only on a stable, level surface.
Make sure you position the appliance in a safe and stable place, away from devices
that might fall on it, thereby avoiding unwanted accidents.
Avoid heavy impacts, or moving the device, especially when it is in use.
• When selecting the set-up location, take the room layout into consideration (e.g., location of
the nearest socket, etc.).
• Also keep in mind, when selecting the set-up location, the need to avoid proximity to direct
sunlight, vibration, dust, hot and cold temperatures and dampness.
• Keep the device away from powerful transformers or motors.
In view of the variety of paints and polishes used for furniture, the base of the device
may leave visible marks on the furniture on which it is placed, as a result of a chemi-
cal reaction. Therefore, do not place the device on the surface of valuable furniture
without appropriate protection.
Connecting the power adapter
Only the enclosed power adapter may be used for the mains connection.
Connect the power adapter only to a normal mains socket connected to the public
supply.
Make sure that the voltage indicated on the power adapter corresponds with the
mains voltage of your power supply. Never attempt to operate the device with any
other voltage.
Make sure that the connecting cable is not pinched or damaged by sharp edges
when making the connection.
The mains socket to which the power unit is connected must be easily accessible,
so the device can be quickly isolated from the mains power supply in the event of a
fault.
• Connect the low voltage adapter of the power unit with the power socket (2) on the product‘s
rear.
• Plug the power adapter into a wall socket.
Operation
Always switch off the device before inserting or removing a watch.
The maximum load-carrying capacity of the watch winder is 270 g per watch. Never
insert heavier watches. This would damage the mechanism of the watch winder over
time.
Disconnect the device from the mains supply if you are not going to use it for a while
(pull the power adapter from the mains socket).
Do not move or shake the device when it is in use.
• Open the cover and pull out the watch holders.
• Clamp the watch with its wristband tightly on the watch holder.
• Replace the watch holders in their fixtures within the device.
• Close the cover again.
• More watches can be stored in the drawer under the cover.
• Turn the interval switch (3) to the desired position:
A 33 seconds of rotation / 12 minutes pause
B 10 minutes of rotation / 90 minutes pause
C 30 minutes of rotation / 3 hours pause
D 1 hour of rotation / 3 hours pause
• Turn on the watch winder with the function switch (1) at the back of the device. In doing so,
you set the direction of rotation at the same time with the switch position:
O the device is switched off
I clockwise rotation
II anticlockwise rotation
Some automatic watches can only be wound in one direction. Please find the ap-
propriate information in your watch‘s manual.
For watches with a glass housing and a visible rotor, the rotation can also be deter-
mined when turning the rotor by movement of the watch. The direction, in which it is
more difficult to move the rotor, is the one used to wind the watch.
Care and cleaning
Disconnect the watch winder from the mains before cleaning it (unplug the power
adapter from the mains socket).
Never use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions,
since these could damage the housing or even impair operation.
Use a dry, slightly damp, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable material and do not belong in the household
waste. Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statu-
tory regulations.
In so doing you will fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of
the environment.
