Iron Troubleshooting

Iron does not w ork

  Iron should be plugged into a 120V  A C  electrical outlet only.

M ake sure that the plug is securely in the socket.

  T herm ostat setting is too low .  T urn to higher setting.

T herm ostat ready light

goes O n and O ff

  T his is norm al.  The light goes O n and O ff as the therm ostat is

sw itching the heating elem ent O n and O ff to m aintain the
selected tem perature.

S om e odor or sm all

particles com e out of

steam  vents of new

iron

  T his is norm al.  Follow  instructions for first use and allow  iron to

steam  through 2-3 fillings 7 press the steam  burst button
occasionally to elim inate sm all w hite particles.

Iron does not steam

  W ater tank m ay be em pty or w ater level is very low .  A dd w ater.

  M ake sure that the tem perature control dial and the variable

steam  control are correctly set.  For m axim um  steam , (setting
"M ax" on steam  control), tem perature control dial should be set
on '•••'.

  A lw a ys allow  the iron to reach the selected tem perature w ith the

steam  setting at '0'. M ake sure that the tem perature control dial
is set in the correct steam  area and the steam  control is 

not

 on

'0'. For m ore steam , turn tem perature dial to higher setting. e.g.
'•••' and the steam  control to "M ax".

  If tem perature setting and steam  control setting are correct and

there is no steam , 

gently

 tap the soleplate on the ironing board

a few  tim es.  M ove the variable steam  control from  '0' to "M ax' a
few  tim es.

W ater droplets

  Iron m ay  not be hot  enough. S et therm ostat  to  the "M ax"

position.
A lw a ys allow  iron sufficient tim e to heat up (therm ostat light
goes off) before activating the variable steam  control.

  O veruse of steam  burst. A llow  m ore tim e betw een each burst.

  Iron m ay have been overfilled.  T urn iron off, em pty w ater and

follow  instructions for filling.

  S team  perform ance m ay be low  if iron requires seasoning. U se

regular tap w ater for 1 or 2 tanks until steam  perform ance
im proves.
