unit; external structures or piping have to be provided with proper fixing systems and stress
insulation.
The installation of the unit must assure:
•
safe use and working, the unit must be installed so as not to cause any damage or
danger to persons, objects or animals;
•
the intake and the outlet of the air from the unit cannot be blocked in any
way;
•
the respect of the minimum space necessary for installation and maintenance opera-
tions. See the drawing of the service openings (Encl. 4) listed in the enclosures section
of this manual;
•
the accessibility for the replacement of the air filter;
•
the absence of conditions that can produce and transmit vibrations and/or noises;
•
a correct water discharge of the condensing water coming out of the unit.
6.2 OPERATIONAL LIMITS
• It is mandatory to install the horizontal fan coil unit at least at 1,80 m from the floor;
• Only use water or a mixture of water and propylene or ethylene glycol to feed the heat
exchanger. Maximum glycol content 50%.
• Since your fan coil is equipped with a water-fed heat exchanger, be sure that ambient
temperature does not fall below 0 °C, which could cause the formation of ice in the
exchanger pipes with consequent risks of frost damage.
• If ambient temperature may fall below 0 °C, it is recommended to drain the coil when the
unit is not being used.
• This unit is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the unit.
• For installations without a thermostat or room temperature limiting device, it is prohibited to
use the fancoil in small rooms occupied by people unable to leave the room by themselves,
unless they are not under constant surveillance.
Before proceeding with any operation of
installation and/or maintenance, make
sure that the unit has been disconnected
from the power supply (Fig. 2).
