5. General safety instructions

Safety systems fulfill a personal protection function.
Incorrect installation or tampering can lead to fatal injuries to personnel.
Check the safe function of the item of protective equipment particularly:

after any setup work

after the replacement of a system component

after an extended period without use

after every fault

Independent of these checks, the safe function of the item of protective equipment should be checked at suitable intervals

as part of the maintenance schedule.

Important!

Prior to use, read the operating instructions and keep these in a safe place.

Ensure the operating instructions are always available during mounting, setup and servicing.

You can download the operating instructions from www.euchner.com.

WARNING

The device is only allowed to be installed, connected and put into operation by an electrically

skilled person with safety engineering training.

Applicable technical standards are to be taken into account in the context of the related applica-

tion.

The requirements in the standard EN 60204 and ISO 13855 are to be taken into account during

installation.

If the device malfunctions, contact the manufacturer.

Changes to the device are not allowed.

The device is to be disconnected externally from the supply of electrical power before starting the

work.

Independently supplied relay load circuits must be shut down.

A complete function test is to be undertaken after the installation of the system.

The device is only allowed to be used in the specified ambient conditions.
