Appendix 5: Use MR-900T to
Access LAN Remotely via VPN
MR-900T can be used to extend and access the corporate virtual LAN remotely with
VPN function, for example, the user can use MR-900T to dial into corporate LAN.
But the router in user's corporate LAN should support VPN in this way. We will
illustrate below how to implement this kind of network connection with VPN.

Preparations
1)
One router with VPN function(use PPTP protocol as an example), a LAN is
attached to this router and can access internet;
2)
One MR-900T(including accessories)
3)
One USIM card with internet service(for example China Mobile and)
4)
One PC

Steps
1)
Configure to use PPTP when accessing the router
Here we use router RV042 from linksys as an example. First, this router
supports VPN and PPTP protocol. Login this linksys router. and click
"VPN"->"PPTP", enable PPTP server and set the IP range for VPN
connection, then create username and password used for VPN connection,
as shown in the figure below:
