4.2
ECU Interface
The XETK-S4.2 is connected via connectors CON6 and CON7 to the ECU with
two adapter cables (refer to Fig. 4-2 on page 17). The pin definition depends on
the application and the microcontroller type. In general the ECU interface con-
sists of
• 1 ECU voltage line, which is not used for XETK power supply, but only for
detection of the ECU status, therefore the power consumption on this line
is negligible (refer to chapter 4.4 on page 19)
• 1 Reset line which allows the XETK to control the system reset of the ECU
• 1 Reset line which allows the XETK to monitor the system reset of the ECU
• 7 Debug Interface lines for the communication between the XETK-S4.2
and the microcontroller
• 2 ground lines for proper shielding of the ECU interface lines.
