Espresso.
In these cases, the warranty is invalidated.
UNPACKING AND SETUP
Remove the machine from its package and
check that all components are present and
not broken. The packaging components must
be handled carefully due to sharp edges.
Place the machine on a flat, stable surface, far
from water, flames and heat sources. When in
operation, the machine must not be covered
by tea towels or anything else.
Lift and pull out the water tank cover and the
water tank itself. If furnished, insert the anti-
calc filter, following the instructions found with
the filter.
Fill the water tank to the MAX level with fresh
clean drinking water. To do so, lift the water
tank cover and fill the tank directly.
The water level must not exceed MAX. Only
use fresh, clean drinking water. Hot water or
any other liquid may damage the tank. Do not
operate the machine without water.
Check that the ON/OFF switch is on the OFF
position.
Plug in the machine after having verified the
voltage stamped on the technical data plate on
the bottom of the machine.
Turn the ON/OFF switch to ON. Button 1 will
light up a steady amber color. Press button 1
to exit the energy saving mode and begin the
pre-heating phase, during which buttons 1/2/3
will be blinking blue. When buttons 1/2/3 show
a steady blue color, the machine is ready to use.
START-UP
At the time of first use, or after a long period
of non-use, or when the water tank is empty, it
is necessary to replenish the water supply by
carrying out the operation described below.
This operation also renews the residual water
present within the hydraulic circuit.
Check that the water tank is full and correctly
positioned.
Place a cup on the cup grid and open the
capsule insertion sliding board. Insert an Essse
Sistema Espresso capsule into the capsule
insertion compartment and close the sliding
board.
Start up the automatic cycle by pressing the
long shot button; wait for water to emerge
from the brewing spout.
ENERGY SAVING
After 10 minutes of inactivity (default), the
machine goes into energy saving mode. Button
1 shows a steady amber color.
To suspend the energy saving mode, press
button 1 to cause the machine to enter the
pre-heating phase.
Buttons 1/2/3 will blink blue.
Buttons 1/2/3 show steady blue color: this
signals that the machine is ready for use.
