ensure safety, reliability and ease of use. Before use, please read these instructions
carefully and keep safely for future reference.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using your
essentials
kettle, basic precautions should always be followed, including
the following:

This kettle is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are
supervised or have been given instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
•
Do not use if there is any damage to the kettle, cord or plug. You must send the kettle
back to a certified service centre for repair.
•
Make sure that the voltage used corresponds to the voltage indicated on the rating
label.
•
Do not operate the kettle on an inclined surface.
•
Do not let the cord touch hot surfaces.
•
Never overfill
– boiling water may splash out.
•
Make sure the lid is secure before switching the kettle on.
•
Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
•
Never put the kettle near or on cooker hot plates or a gas burner.
•
Never use this kettle near bathtubs, showers, basins or other water containers.
•
Do not immerse the kettle, plug or cord in water, or allow any liquid to come into
contact with any part of the kettle.
•
To disconnect, grip the plug and pull from wall outlet. Never pull on the cord.
•
Do not try to cover, extend or stretch the power cord.
•
Make sure the kettle is switched off before lifting or pouring.
•
Take care when opening the lid
– droplets of hot water may spill.
•
This product is intended for household use only. Industrial or commercial use
invalidates the warranty.
•
Do not use outdoors.
•
Never attempt to open any part of the appliance or dismantle the controls. The
company will not be liable for any malfunctions that occur if this instruction has been
ignored.
•
To reduce the risk of electrical hazards, the use of an extension cord or plug adaptor is
not recommended.
•
