4.5 – Rechargeable Batteries 

With Rechargeable Y/N you can specify if the REDi is equipped with 
rechargeable batteries. You can change the value from ‘Y’ (rechargeable 
batteries fitted) to ‘N’ (normal batteries used) by using the left and right arrow 
keys on your keypad.  
 
For more information regarding re-chargeable batteries see chapters 2.1 and 6.3. 

4.6 – Temperature Unit Conversion 

The ‘Temp Unit’ option is the fifth option your REDi device displays in the 
‘System Options’ screen (see figure 4.5). This option allows you to set the 
temperature unit to either ºC or ºF. You change between the two  temperature 
units by using the left and right arrow keys on the REDi keypad. Alternatively, 
you can set your required temperature unit using ESCORT Console software, for 
more information regarding this refer to Chapter 5 of this user manual.
