Peripheral housing

When 

MyLab

 is set in a mobile configuration (refer to chapter 3 for further

details), the trolley can house a peripheral on the dedicated tray.

NOTE

When selecting the peripheral, consider its dimension so that it can be

safely installed on the dedicated tray. The tray measures 33x17 cm.

CAUTION

The peripheral weight does not have to exceed three (3) kg. The dedicated
tray could be damaged if the peripheral weight exceeds this limit.

B/W Thermal Medical USB Printer

In case the peripheral is a B/W Thermal Medical USB printer, it can be
connected to 

MyLab

 as described below. 

Procedure

5. Ensure that both 

MyLab

 and the printer are switched off.

6. Connect both the power and the USB cables to the printer.

7. Lodge the printer into the dedicated tray on the trolley.

8. Connect the USB printer cable to any 

MyLab

 USB ports.

9. Plug the printer power cable into any mains socket.

10. Switch the printer on and then 

MyLab

 on.

Non-medical USB Printer

In case the peripheral is any non-medical printer, it can be connected to 

MyLab

only when the peripheral is powered through an insulation transformer or

MyLab 

is not used for examinations. Refer to Safety Concept above for further

details.

Procedure

1. Ensure that both 

MyLab

 and the printer are switched off.

2. Connect both the power and the USB cables to the printer.

3. Lodge the printer into the dedicated tray on the trolley.

4. Connect the USB printer cable to any 

MyLab

 USB ports.

5. Plug the printer power cable into the insulation transformer 

socket.

6. Switch the printer on and then 

MyLab

 on.

WARNING

Always power any USB device (such as USB printers or external USB
archiving devices) through an insulation transformer during examinations
with 

MyLab

.
