Startup sequence
The WeldCloud™ Mobile starts when it receives power from the W8
2
or PEK through the
control cable connected to W8
2
or PEK. Data communication between the WeldCloud™
Mobile and W8
2
or PEK goes through the Ethernet cable.
A – The white LED
The white LED on the WeldCloud™ Mobile indicates that the WeldCloud™ Mobile has
power.
B – The red LED
The red LED on the WeldCloud™ Mobile indicates the status of the unit.
At startup of WeldCloud™ Mobile, the red LED lights up for up to 2 minutes to indicate that
the startup is complete and that no error is found.
When the red LED is off after startup, there are no detected problems.
A steady lit red LED after start up sequence indicates that the configuration file is corrupt or
that there is an error on the equipment or network parameter.
Red LED blinking:
•
short-short signal indicates no connection to WeldCloud™
•
short-long-long signal indicates no connection with W8
2
or PEK
Combination of both blinking is possible.
C – Wi-Fi operation
The Wi-Fi is enabled after power up of the welding power source.
It will start up as a hotspot with a default hotspot name. This hotspot appears as an
available Wi-Fi network. After establishing connection, it is possible to access the web
interface of the power source. For more information about the WeldCloud™ unit and
features, see the instruction manual for WeldCloud™.
