LOG PLACEMENT FOR M42E, M42EP,
VME42 AND VM42EP MODELS
1. Place large back log (log 1) onto grate
making sure notches rest over grate (see
Figure 7).
2. Insert lower end of log 2A between the first
two grate fingers and position the upper
end into the notch on the front of log 1. See
Figure 7. Place log B on the front right
side of grate as shown in Figure 7.
3. Place log 3 into notch on top left of log 1,
resting the lower end on the left two grate
fingers (see Figure 28).
4. Place the upper end of log 4 into the notch
on log 1 as shown in Figure 8. Rest the
lower end of log 4 on the middle grate
finger as shown in Figure 29.
5. Place the upper end of log 5 into the notch
on the top inner right of log 1 (see Figure
9). Rest the lower end of log 5 on the
middle grate finger as shown in Figure 30.
6. Place log 6 into the notch on the top right
of log 1 (see Figure 9). Rest the lower end
of log 6 on top of log B (see Figure 30).
As an option to enhance the look of the hearth,
you may place the lava rock provided around
the front and sides of the burner pan.
NOTICE: Do not put lava rock
inside the burner pan or around
the air mixer fitting. Placing lava
rock inside the burner pan or
blocking the openings of the
propane/LP air-mixer could cause
performance problems.
