Precision pendulum clock with moonphase,
strike train and perpetual calendar
Mounting the clock on the wall
Choose for your clock a place on a stable wall without direct insolation, in order to prevent
the clock case from heating up and to come up to the weight of the clock. To avoid damage of
the clockwork and the case during mounting, the following work should only be done by an
experienced clockmaker. Necessary tools: stone drill 6 and 8 mm, drilling machine, cross tip
screw driver, hexagon keys size 4,5,8, water level.
Unpacking
Please unpack the clock carefully (keep the packing material for possible transports of the
clock).
Mounting the clock case
For optimal reading we suggest to place the hanging screw 20 cm above eye level. This position
corresponds to the top edge of the dial. Unhook the glass door. To do this, loosen the hinge
screw on the lower hinge on the horizontal clock and the hinge screws on the upper hinge.
Caution!
do not exchange these screws!
Lift the glass door upwards now. Hang the case back with the hanging plate over the hanging
screw, mentioned above. Remove the screw covers in the 4 corners of the case, level the case
and mark the positions through the 4 holes. Remove the case back, drill the 4 holes and insert
the plug. Now you can mount the case back with the 4 screws to the wall. The left side cover
is held in place by magnets. Open it with a small suction cup or plastic lever. Remove the
protection material from the gong tube and close the cover again. Insert the door into
the hinges with two persons and mount the hinge screws. Adjust the hinge and hook elements
to ensure good opening and closing of the door.
Caution!
The maximum opening angle of the door is 90
o

Adjusting the gong
With the eccentric at the case plate the clearance between hammer and gong tube can be
adjusted for a good sound of the gong.
