The configuration for the Modbus 

Slave

 is different than the Modbus 

Master

.  Follow 

the instructions for the mode that the mode that the DL6000 will be configured for. 

 

5.3.1.1 Modbus Slave Parameters

For the 

Modbus Device Type

, select 

Slave

 to bring up the configurable slave 

parameters.

Select the Allan-Bradley PLC type.  There are 3 choices available, PLC-5, PLC-3, 

and SLC/Micrologix/ControlLogix.  Unless you need to communicate to a PLC-3, we 

suggest that you use the SLC/Micrologix/ControlLogix option as the PLC type. 

 

6.

 

Select whether broadcast messages are to be forwarded or not.  The default option is 

to 

not

 forward broadcast messages.  If broadcast messages are to be forwarded, you 

will then be prompted to select the address range of devices on the DH+ that will 

have the broadcast messages forwarded to them. 

 

7.

 

Click the 

Next 

button to setup the Modbus to Allan-Bradley mapping table.  A new 

window will appear as shown below.
