Anti-drying caps

Except during printing, these caps cover the print head nozzles to prevent them drying out. Cleaning may be
required depending on the status.

“Cleaning Caps” on page 63

Suction caps

These caps absorb the ink from the tips of the print head nozzles. Do not touch the insides of the suction caps. The
part maybe deformed, and it may no longer be possible to perform capping correctly.

Wiper

The wiper removes ink from the print head nozzles. This is a consumable; Replacement or cleaning may be
required depending on the status.

Back

Drive switch

The drive switch is used to feed the media during loading and to rewind the media for replacement.

Roll holder

Place media on these holders. There are two supports: one on the left and one on the right.

These screws fix the roll holders in place once the media has been installed. There are two supports: one on the left
and one on the right.

Spacer

If vertical creases occur between the pressure rollers, insert this in the hollow of the media loading lever.
