Magnet contact sensor

STM 550 integrates a magnet contact sensor detecting presence or absence of a magnetic
field in the proximity of the it. Refer to Figure 13 and Figure 14 for the location of the mag-
net contact sensor within STM 550 and to chapter 11.5 for mounting instructions.

EMSI product packaging includes a block magnet suitable for use with its magnet contact
sensor. Figure 12 shows the outer appearance of this magnet.

Magnet outline

The magnet is made from N35 grade Neodymium material. Table 3 below lists the key pa-
rameters of this material for reference if use of alternative magnets is planned.
