Bluetooth® mode
In Bluetooth mode, you can receive audio signals wirelessly from two external Blue-
tooth-enabled audio output devices. Make sure the two devices are not more than 10
metres apart.
Pairing Bluetooth-enabled audio output device
To pair a Bluetooth-enabled audio output device with the party speaker, proceed as
follows:
Switch on the Bluetooth function on your audio output device.
On the desired channel (
CH1
or
CH2
), press the
SOURCE
button several times un-
til
BLUETOOTH
is shown on the display.
Press the
PAIRING
button for the desired channel to start pairing mode.
When the pairing function is active in channel 1, the device can be found
under Bluetooth name MD44420CH1. When the pairing function is active
in channel 2, the device can be found under Bluetooth name
MD44420CH2.
BLUETOOTH
flashes on the display. The party speaker is now in search mode.
Pair both devices with your audio output device.
You will find more information about the Bluetooth function of your audio
output device in its user manual.
The device name of the speaker and the channels MD44420CH1 or
MD44420CH2 will be displayed in the device list on your audio output de-
vice as soon as the signal is found.
If you are prompted to enter a password for pairing, enter 0000.
You will hear a signal tone on the party speaker when the two devices are paired with
each other.
Now start audio playback on your external device or press the
/
button on the
party speaker to start playback.
Playback can be controlled using the corresponding buttons on the party speaker or
via the external device.
The speaker always attempts to automatically connect itself to the last
audio output device connected via Bluetooth.
CONNECTING A MICROPHONE
A microphone can be used in any operating mode.
To connect a microphone (not supplied with the device) to the party speaker, proceed
as follows:
If necessary, switch the party speaker to standby mode.
Plug the microphone cable into the
MIC
jack on the party speaker.
Use the
MIC VOLUME
control to select the desired microphone volume.
