Destination 1.5 Insert Installation and Operation Manual

Appendix 6: Removal instructions

For the purpose of inspecting the insert itself or the fireplace, your insert may need to be removed.
To remove your insert follow these instructions:



Remove the upper (A) and lower (B) facing.



To remove the backing plate (C), unscrew the 4 screws holding the backing plate to the

insert.



Unscrew the screws securing the 45° elbow to the insert’s flue outlet (see

Section 9.5



Remove the insert from the fireplace opening to perform necessary work.
