INSTALLATION
7 - 35 ton Standard Jacks
Adding Fluid and Removing Air
WARNING
Before adding fluid, make sure plunger is fully retracted or the system will
contain more fluid than the reservoir can hold.
1.
Use wrench end of jack handle to open release valve by turning counter-clockwise.
2.
Place jack on its front face with the filler plug on top. Remove fill plug.
3.
Slowly add Enerpac hydraulic fluid.
4.
Once the reservoir is filled, extend the plunger out approximately 1

inches. Add
enough fluid to fill the reservoir.
5.
Insert the fill plug and turn in about half way, leaving the bleed hole in the fill plug
exposed.
6.
Push plunger to its fully retracted position. Excess oil and air will be expelled through
the fill plug bleed hole.
7.
Tighten fill plug.
8.
Use wrench end of the jack handle to close the release valve by turning clockwise.
9.
Pump the handle. If plunger does not advance to full travel, repeat the procedure.
75 and 150 Ton Standard Jacks and 35 Ton Toe Lift Jacks
Adding Fluid
WARNING
Before adding fluid, make sure plunger is fully retracted or the system will
contain more fluid than the reservoir can hold.
1.
Use wrench end of jack handle to open release valve by turning counter-clockwise.
2.
Place jack on its side with fill plug facing up. Remove fill plug.
3.
Slowly add Enerpac hydraulic fluid. Do not fill reservoir completely. Fluid level
should be below fill plug when jack is upright.
4.
Stand jack upright, allowing excess fluid to run out of fill plug hole. Replace fill plug.
Clean off excess fluid.
Removing Air
1.
Open air vent.
2.
Use wrench end of jack handle to open release valve by turning counter-clockwise.
3.
Insert jack handle into jack pump beam and rapidly pump the handle.
4.
Use wrench end of jack handle to close release valve by turning clockwise.
5.
If jack operation is not smooth, repeat the air removal procedure.
