If your Energy King factory built fireplace is not properly
installed, a house fire may result. For your safety, follow
the installation directions. Contact local building or fire
officials about restrictions and installation inspection
requirements in your area. You also need to determine if
you are required to obtain a permit from your local
governing authority.
The Energy King factory built fireplace must be connected
to a listed high temperature (complying with UL 1985)
residential type and building heating appliance chimney.

This manual describes the installation and operation of your Energy King factory built
fireplace. Be sure to read your instruction manual and keep it in a safe place for future
reference. Before installation, contact your local building or fire officials about restrictions
and installation inspection requirements for your area.
The Energy King factory built fireplace is tested to UL127 and UL391 Standards by Intertek
Testing Services, Middleton, Wisconsin. Silhouette Model 2850C is tested to EPA
Certification for emissions. Silhouette Model 2800 meets the EPA’s requirements for Method
28A and is exempt.
Your Energy King factory built fireplace will burn wood only; any other source of fuel is
prohibited by the manufacturer, MAY NOT BE SAFE, and will void your warranty.
