Warning!
Wear protective gloves, protective goggles and a protective laboratory coat! There is a risk of
infection if you into contact with wastewater.
Proceed as follows to take the analyzer out of service:
1.
Switch off the wastewater pump.
2.
If sample preparation is present: Trigger a screen flush (CLEANING - SCREEN FLUSH). Allow
the bypass to drain.
3.
Flush the hoses.
Set valve 1 to Manual sample and place a container with deionized water under the valve.
TEST - TEST OF OUTPUTS - PUMPS
Enter 400 % for pump P1 and pump P4 (optional) and let the pumps pump for some time.
Remove the acid hose of pump P3 from the acid canister and insert it into a container with
deionized water. Also let this pump run at 400 % for some time.
4.
Clean the vessels
Trigger an automatic stripper flush (CLEANING - POWER FLUSH). Afterwards, perform
manual cleaning of the strip and separation chamber (CLEANING - STRIPPER &
SEPARATION). The pH sensor must be stored wet. Fill the protection cap with 3-mole KCl
solution and fit the protection cap onto the sensor.
5.
Empty the hoses
Open the hose cassettes of pumps P1, P2, P3 and (if optional dilution takes place) P4. Let the
rinse water run out of the hoses.
Remove the canister with the standard. Close valve 1.
TEST - TEST OF OUTPUTS - SWITCH OUTPUTS
Switch the switch outputs SA1 and SA4 to "ON". Wait until the pipes for standard 1 and 2 are
empty.
Switch the switch outputs "OFF" again.
Remove the feeder tank.
6.
Switch off the main switch on the analyzer.
7.
Empty the combustion pipe insert
Empty the combustion pipe insert (see "Maintenance - Combustion pipe" section).
Insert the empty combustion pipe insert into the furnace.
Empty the glass insert.
Assemble the combustion unit.
8.
Remove the exhaust (if present).
9.
Close off the oxygen or compressed air supply .
Relieve the pressure on the pressure line before opening the hose connection to prevent injury
from the uncontrolled release of pressure.
Unscrew the oxygen supply hose on the left-hand side panel.
Release the hose on the pressure-reducing valve of the oxygen cylinder.
