Capacitance Calibration
(Changing Factory-Set
Adjustment)

When the dielectric constant
ε

of the material is smaller than 2.0,
e.g. with plastic granulate, it may be necessary to change the factory-set
value.
Calibration is possible for
ε
r
> 1.6.
•
A change in the factory-set value may also be required if the minimum
distances cannot be maintained.
For this calibration, the silo must be empty or the level must be at least
100 mm below the probe.
The adjuster for calibration is approx. 30 turns from one end of the range to
the other.
Carry out the calibration according to the sequence of diagrams Fig. 17 to
Fig. 19.
