3 Installation instructions
3.1 Incoming acceptance, transport, storage
3.1.1 Incoming acceptance
After receiving the goods, check the following points:
• Is the packaging or the contents damaged?
• Is the delivery complete? Compare the goods delivered with what you ordered.
3.1.2 Transport and storage
Observe the following points:
• The unit must be packed in shockproof packaging for storage (and transport). The original
packaging offers the best protection for this.
• The permitted storage temperature is -40 to +80 °C (-40 to 176 °F).
3.2 Mounting conditions
3.2.1 Dimensions
• DIN rail device: 217 mm (8.54") x 100 mm (3.94") x 60 mm (2.36") (BxHxD)
• Field housing: 258 mm (10.16") x 140 mm (5.51") x 84 mm (3.31") (BxHxD)
3.2.2 Mounting point
• Ambient temperature (both versions): -40 to 70 °C (-40 to 158 °F).
• Relative humidity: 95% not condensing (valid for the DIN rail version)
• Climate class: meets the requirements regarding class C1-C3 in accordance with IEC
60721-4-3

Note!
Mounting must only be performed by specialist who are trained specifically for this purpose.
Recognized rules of the technology and setup requirements must be maintained during
mounting and dismounting. Especially for tasks on electrical systems, special safety requirements
must be observed.
3.3 Fieldhousing mounting
The field housing reaches the degree of protection IP 67. 2 screws with a diameter of 6 mm
should be used for mounting. The mounting material should be selected according to the nature
of the subsurface (the wall). When selecting mounting material, care must be taken that it will
ensure a secure fastening.
