Optimizing battery use

7.5.1

Backlight

The use of the backlight will shorten the operating time of the battery. Therefore, it is

recommended that the backlight is set up to switch off after a short period of idleness (to

switch it back on, simply press any key or tap on the display) and that the brightness is not

at the highest setting. The necessary settings can be made in the Start menu.

Tap on the

Windows icon

and then select

Settings → System → Backlight

.

 In the

Backlight Settings

tab, the brightness of the backlight can be set.

In the

Ambient Settings

tab, the brightness of the keyboard backlight can be set.
