13.2 External sensor cleaning

Caution!
After cleaning, rinse the sensor thoroughly with deionized water and then calibrate it again.
13.3 Replacing the membrane cap

Warning!
The electrolyte solution irritates the skin and eyes. For this reason:
• Always wear suitable protective gloves and goggles/face mask.
• Wash skin which has come into contact with the electrolyte solution thoroughly with plenty
of water and change wetted clothes immediately.
• If electrolyte gets into your eye, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and consult a doctor.
• Observe the instructions on the safety data sheet.
The electrolyte and membrane cap have to be replaced in the following situations:
• in the event of calibration errors resulting from a contaminated membrane
• if the membrane is damaged
• if the electrolyte is used up
• if the measuring instrument reports a leak
Fouling
Cleaning
Lime deposits
Immerse the sensor into 20% acetic acid for 1 minute.
Greases/oils
Rinse the sensor with a cleaner containing a surfactant.
Unscrew the basket protector and
membrane cap.
Rinse the sensor head with deionized
water.
Dry the counterelectrode carefully
with a lint-free paper towel.
