Route approved speaker wire from your
amplifier, or from a volume control, to the
speaker locations. Wire polarity is key here. You
must maintain + positive, usually red, and
–
negative, usually black, polarity between the
source and the speakers and double check your
work. After completing all connections make sure
the amp, volume controls and speakers are
connected and working properly. Turn on the
amplifier and audio source to verify it is
producing sound at lower volumes. Slowly turn
up the volume. You should hear sound coming
from your new speakers. If no sound is produced
from any or all speakers, turn off the source
equipment immediately and check for open or
loose connections, shorts, or proper source
selection and connections. After you have
verified the speakers are operating normally,
slide each speaker up inside the cut-out hole
with the speaker wire attached to the speaker,
being careful not to pinch or otherwise damage
or disconnect the speaker wire.
