If the weather station display shows the low battery icon
under the indoor temperature field,
replace the batteries in the station.
Follow the procedure from point 1 when replacing batteries.
Synchronisation of Signal Reception from the Sensor
If the weather station does not receive a signal from the sensor for an extended period of time, the
outdoor temperature field will display --.- .
Long-press the DOWN button on the station to repeat the search for signal from the sensor.
The signal from the sensor will be reloaded within 3 minutes.
Radio Controlled Clock (DCF77)
After being registered by the wireless sensor, the weather station will automatically search for DCF77
signal (hereinafter referred to as DCF) for 5 minutes; the icon will flash depending on the strength
of DCF signal.
No other data on the display will be updated and all buttons will be disabled during the search.
Signal found – the icon will stop flashing and the current time and date will be displayed along with
icon
(strong signal) or (weaker signal).
Signal not found – icon displayed.
To repeat the search for DCF signal for 5 minutes, long-press the UP button; to cancel the search for
DCF signal, again long-press the UP button. DCF signal will be continuously synchronised every day.
In standard conditions (at safe distance from sources of interference, such as TV sets, computer monitors),
the reception of time signal takes several minutes.
If the weather station does not detect the signal, follow these steps:
1. Move the weather station to another location and try to detect DCF signal again.
2. Check the distance of the clock from sources of interference (computer monitors or television sets).
The weather station should be at least 1.5 to 2 m away from such sources during the reception
of the signal.
3. When receiving DCF signal, do not put the weather station in the proximity of metal doors, window
frames and other metal structures or objects (washing machines, dryers, refrigerators etc.).
4. In reinforced concrete structures (cellars, high-rise buildings etc.), the DCF signal reception is weaker,
depending on the conditions.
In extreme cases, place the weather station close to a window toward the transmitter.
Reception of DCF radio signal is affected by the following factors:
• thick walls and insulation, basements and cellars;
• inadequate local geographical conditions (these are difficult to assess in advance);
• atmospheric disturbances, thunderstorms, electrical appliances with no interference elimination,
television sets and computers located near the DCF receiver.
If the weather station cannot detect the DCF signal, time and date must be set manually.
Setting Time Manually
Note: buttons for setting the weather station are located under the battery cover.
1. Long-press the SET button.
2. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to set the following parameters: year – month – day – date format –
12/24 time format – hours – minutes.
Press SET to move between the menu items.
Holding the UP/DOWN buttons adjusts values faster.
If no button is pressed within 2 minutes, the unit will revert to basic display mode.
Indoor and Outdoor Temperature, °C/°F Temperature Unit Setting
Indoor temperature is displayed in field A3.
Outdoor temperature is displayed in field A2.
Repeatedly pressing the SET button sets the desired temperature unit (°C/°F).
Weather Forecast
The station forecasts weather on the basis of changes in atmospheric pressure for the next 12–24 hours
for an area within the range of 15–20 km.
