9. AIR CONDITIONER MAINTENTANCE
Attention!
All maintenance operations must be carried out after having disconnected
the power supply from the air conditioner.
Turn off the air conditioner first with the remote control and then
disconnect the power supply.
9.1 Remote control cleaning
- To clean the remote control, use a dry cloth. Do not use detergents or
glass-cleaning products.
9.2 Indoor Unit cleaning
- Use a cloth slightly soaked with water and alcohol at a temperature
not exceeding 40 °C.
- Dry with a soft cloth.
- The insecticide could damage the unit.
- Never use fuel, chemical solvents, detergent and/or abrasive powders,
furniture cleaning spray, sandpaper or rough cloths to clean the unit.
- Do not use inflammable spray, such as paint or hair spray near the air
conditioner.
- Don’t spray water on the indoor unit
Cleaning of the air and the surface of the panel
– Clean the surface of the panel with a soft dry cloth or a damp cloth and
mild detergent.
– Do not use diesel fuel, gasoline, thinner, detergent powder, etc.
Nota
Do not rub it in a robust way the air baffle during cleaning to prevent
detachment of the surface coating.
9.3 External unit cleaning
- The cleaning of the outdoor unit must be carried out periodically and at
the beginning of the air conditioner season.
- Clean the outdoor unit and the air inlet and outlet grilles, removing any
objects which may prevent the free circulation of air.
