2.1 Characteristics and scope
The GASPEX MULTI system consists of multilay-
er PEX/AL /PEX pipes and pressfittings fittings,
equipment and tools suitable for the installation.
The system of multilayer metal-plastic piping and
press-fitted GASPEX MULTI connectors conforms
with and is certified according to:
ISO 17484:2014

pipe systems for indoor gas installations with a ma-
ximum operating pressure up to and including 5 bar
(500 kPa).
Beside the version with GASPEX "UV PROTECTED"
pipe, is certified according to:
ISO 18225:2012

Specifications for systems.
GASPEX MULTI pipes are provided nude, in rolls and
in bars, and covered with a yellow-coloured corruga-
ted polymer sheath. This last item is also supplied as
an accessory. Available sizes: 16, 20, 26 e 32.
The equipment and tools needed for installation are
common with the EMMETI GERPEX and GERPEX RA
sanitary hot water systems.
GASPEX MULTI pipes must be used exclusively
with its relative fittings and equipment.
WARNING!
The installation and testing of gas distribution net-
works composed of GASPEX MULTI system must be
done according to the local laws and regulations in
force in the country where the plant is located, as
well as these operations must be carried out by staff
in possession of the certificates /thechnical skills re-
quired by the laws and regulations in force.
2.2 Storage
Pipes and fittings should be kept in their original
packaging, protected from sunlight, from sources of
heat, frost and from contact with sharp and/or poin-
ted objects.
