47 Wireless Sensors
Wireless Sensors
There are three types of wireless sensors that can be
added to Emme : SmartSensors, Smart Controllers, and
an outside sensor. Smart Senors are small, wireless,
temperature sensors that can be linked to Emme , they
have no override capability. Smart Controllers perform a
similar function as Smart Sensors but you can override
the current schedule from a Smart Controller. Smart
Controllers and Smart Sensors provide additional
temperature information that improve Emme smart
features such as SmartCirculation, SmartSetback, and
SmartRecovery. The outside sensor provides outdoor
temperature readings.
You can use any Smart Controller or Smart Sensor as
the primary sensor for Emme . Instead of using the
temperature sensor at the Display and Control Unit, Emme
can use the sensor you designate. Not only will it display
the temperature from the sensor, but it will also use that
temperature to make heating and cooling decisions. It’s
like moving the thermostat to where the wireless sensor is
located.
Finally, you can schedule which sensor to use as the
reference temperature for each transition in your schedule.
For instance, you can use the sensor in your bedroom as the
reference temperature in the morning, and the sensor in the
family room as the reference temperature in the evening.
