COMPACT DISC (CD) OPERATION

NOTES:

• If a disc is inserted incorrectly, dirty or damaged, it will not play and the display will show “--”.
• As each track is played, the track number is shown in the display.
• To prevent damage to the disc, never open the CD door while the disc is rotating. Wait for the disc to stop

before opening the CD door. Never touch the lens when the CD compartment door is open.

• The CD player may skip if the unit is bumped or shaken during playback. Carrying the unit around while a CD

is playing is not recommended.

TO PLAY A CD (STANDARD CD, CD-R AND CD-RW CAN BE USED*)

* IMPORTANT: 

This player will play normal CDs plus CD-R and CD-RW discs. However the playability of CD-R and

CD-RW discs is determined by the software that was used to create the discs, and the quality of the blank media
used for recording. 100% playability cannot be guaranteed. This is not an indication of a problem with your system.

Open the CD compartment by
pressing the CD OPEN area.
Place a disc on the spindle, label
side up, and close the CD
compartment door.

To play a disc from the beginning,
press the PLAY/PAUSE (

/ )

button. Press the  PLAY/PAUSE
(

/ ) button again to pause

playback; the PLAY/PAUSE
indicator will blink.

Slide the Function switch to the
CD position; the POWER ON
indicator will light. The total
number of tracks will be displayed
and the CD player will stop.

through a particular track, press and
hold the Skip/Search (

locate the desired portion, release the
button and normal playback will
resume from that point.

To turn the unit off, slide the
Function switch to the OFF
position; the POWER ON
indicator will go off.

When the disc is through playing,
it will stop rotating. Press the
STOP (

) button to stop the disc

before it is
