Powering the EMC Celerra NS-480 system

For more information, refer to Celerra Tools on http://Powerlink.EMC.com

Power Up procedure for NS-480

Note:

If there are no other components in the cabinet, verify that the cabinet circuit breakers are in

the ON position. If you are installing the NS-480 into an existing cabinet that contains other

components, do not turn off the cabinet circuit breakers. Ensure that the switches on SPS A and

SPS B are in the OFF position.

Connect the power cables as follows:

A yellow circle with a number indicates the power cable number.

1.

Connect power supply A on the fi rst disk-array enclosure (DAE) to

standby power supply (SPS) A .

2.

Connect the power supply B on the DAE to SPS B.

3.

Connect storage processor (SP) A power cable on the SP enclosure to SPS A.

4.

Connect SP B power cable on the SP enclosure to SPS B.

5.

Connect SPS A cable to the right PDP.

6.

Connect SPS B cable to the left PDP.

Turn SPS A and SPS B switches ON.

7.

Connect the power cables for the blade enclosure to the PDP.

8.

Connect the Control Station to the left PDP.
