• Make sure the power cord does not come into
contact with the kettle’s metal surfaces (these
become very hot when water is being boiled).
• Only use the kettle for its intended purpose (boil-
ing water).
• Be very careful if you must move the unit when
there is hot water inside.
Do not stand the kettle base on a metal surface
when it is plugged into a wall socket.
• Do not use the unit if the jug, base, power cord
or plug are damaged. A damaged unit may only
be repaired by the manufacturer or an authorised
dealer.
• Do not attempt to connect other units to the cord-
less base or to modify the plug (the conductive
pins are protected by interlocked covers when
the kettle is removed from the base).
• Do not dismantle the kettle or base (risk of fire
and electric shock).
• The unit may not be serviced by the user (all
repairs must be performed by authorised service
personnel).
• Do not stand the kettle base on a metal surface
when it is plugged into a wall socket.
