VOIP CONFIGURATION

33.1

Introduction

The Chapter describes peculiarities of VoIP service configuration.

The access node supports several methods of VoIP configuration:



VoIP configuration in OMCI management domain;



VoIP configuration in RG management domain.

A methods is chosen based on service model and ONT functionality.

33.2

VoIP Configuration in OMCI Management Domain

VoIP is a special bridged service. It has all general properties of a bridged service. Operator's

actions required for services configuration are described in details in Chapter

28 ONT Configuration

page

As opposed to other bridge services, VoIP has the

iphost

type in the

cross-connect

profile to

terminate traffic in internal virtual IP interface. That also requires the

Iphost eid

parameter to be

specified. As a rule, it should equal 1. Contact your ONT vendor for information about the "Iphost eid"
value VoIP should have.

Step 1. Configure a cross-connect profile to be used as VoIP.
