Filling with water
Remove the mains plug from the wall socket before filling (or emptying) the iron  
with water. Set the steam control to O position in order to avoid the water leakage.

Fill the filling cup (M) with water. Hold the iron in a titled position and pore the  water 

into with the filling aperture to the maximum level. 
Fill the iron with normal tap water when using it for the first time.

For refilling, you can also use tap water. However, if the water is very hard, it is   advis-
able to use distilled water.

 

Do not put vinegar, starch, chemically, descaled water or descaling agents 

in the water reservoir.

Ironing temperature guide

Setting the temperature 

Stand the iron on its end.

Set the temperature control to the correct ironing temperature.

Insert the mains plug into the wall socket.
After the temperature pilot light first has gone out and has come on again, you may 

start ironing.

The temperature light will come on from time to time during ironing.
If you set the temperature control to a lower setting after ironing at a high 
temperature, please allow time for the iron to cool. This is to prevent scorching on 

your garment.

Ironing without steam

Set the steam control (B)l to position O(=no steam).

To switch on the iron, refer to paragraph “Setting the temperature”.

Steam-ironing

Ensure that there is enough water in the water tank.

Set the steam control:.
No steam setting (O) for temperature setting                                MIN to . . Steam

For temperature settings  
Maximum steam setting

Fill the iron reservoir with water.
Turn the temperature control to the position "MAX"
The indicator light turns off when the required temperature is reached

Steam will penetrate into the garment removing the creases
Wait a few seconds before pressing the steam control knob again when

stubborn creases usually all creases can be removed within three operations of the 
steam jet.

Using the Steam Jet 

Reheating the Steam Iron 

Pick up the iron or move it slightly
The red indicator light will go out if the temperature of the soleplate has dropped 
below the set ironing temperature, the temperature indicator light goes on to show 
that the iron is heating to the desired temperature 
If the pilot light goes on after you have move the iron, wait for the indicator light to 
go out before you comence ironing.
If the pilot light does not go on after you move the iron, the soleplate still has the 
right temperature and the iron is ready for use.
