2.4 - DIMENSIONS OF PAN FOR MAGNETIC INDUCTION COOKING
For correct operation of the magnetic induction hob, the diameter of the pan must be suitable for the size of
the hotplate. Fig. 4 shows a pan that is ideal for the size of the hotplate.

If the pan is too small for the size of the hotplate, the system will measure an insufficient impedance and
therefore will not detect the presence of the pan. The system will not generate induction, as if there were no
pan on the hotplate (see Fig. 5).
PAN TOO SMALL FOR HOTPLATE

If the pan is too large for the hotplate, the heat generated by induction will be insufficient for the quantity of
mass to be heated and therefore insufficient for the cooking process (see Fig. 6)
