Safety
NOTE: This model uses flammable
refrigerant R600a gas in the sealed
refrigeration system. The following
recommendations should be
observed for your safety:
• This appliance contains a small
amount of refrigerant R600a, which
is not harmful to the environment,
but is flammable. It does not harm
the ozone layer or increase the
greenhouse effect;
• During
transportation
and
installation of the appliance, be
careful not to damage the parts
(compressor, condenser and
evaporator tubes) of the cooling
system;
• Refrigerant gas leaks in the cooling
system (compressor, condenser
and evaporator tubes) may ignite
and may cause damage to the eyes;
• If there is leakage of refrigerant
gas, avoid the appliance and the
place where it is installed have been
exposed to the fire and any other
device that generates spark;
• Allow the natural ventilation of the
room where the appliance is for a
few minutes. After that, disconnect
the refrigerator from the power
supply;
• The installation place of your
appliance must have at least 1
cubic meter for every 8 grams
of refrigerant gas contained
in the product. The amount of
refrigerant in this appliance is 46
grams. This value is also indicated
in the identification label. It is
dangerous to any person that is
not a qualified technician from a
Authorized Service and with work
permits for hydrocarbon refrigerant
gas, to carry out or repairs
involving removal of a cooling
system component (compressor,
evaporator, condenser) or electrical
and electronic system (lamp socket,
switch, thermostat, etc.);
• This appliance must be connected to a
grounded outlet;
• WARNING: Keep unobstructed the
holes and upper, side and rear air
openings. Respect the minimum
distances (see item installation), in
the place where the appliance will be
installed;
• WARNING: Do not use mechanical
devices or other means to accelerate
the defrosting process, other than
those recommended in this manual;
• WARNING: Do not damage the cooling
system (evaporator, compressor and
condenser);
• WARNING: Do not use electrical
appliances inside the food storage
compartments of the appliance;
Do not store explosive materials in
the appliance or any other materials
that contain flammable propellants,
such as aerosol cans, flammable
liquids or explosive liquids, which can
cause an explosion. During operation
of the refrigerator, thermostats and /
or switches can produce sparks that
pose a fire hazard;
• Do not use sharp or pointed objects to
remove ice or to separate frozen food
inside the appliance as it can cause
damage to the evaporator and cause
serious damage to the appliance;
• Do not use materials such as “sprays”
to make or accelerate the defrost,
because such materials can contain
harmful substances that can react and
damage the plastic parts;
• Do not use steam cleaners for cleaning.
Pressurized steam can cause moisture
on electrical components, causing a
short circuit. The environment and
personal safety should be considered
when disposing the appliance.
