COOKING
Microwave cooking preserves the food’s nutritional value since practically no water is need
during the cooking process, avoiding the vitamin’s dispersion. The right use of the
appliance allows the preparation of delicious dishes, in a quick and healthy way.
-
Previously prepare the food and place it in a microwave-safe recipient - see “Microwave
oven recipients”.
Note: since the micro-waves are released from the appliance’s walls to the centre, place
the bigger pieces of food on the recipient’s extremity and the smaller pieces of food in the
centre.
-
Place the recipient with the food inside the appliance and close the glass door (B).
Note: use plastic covers suitable for microwaves use, to avoid spills and to cook evenly the
food.
-
Select the must suitable power on button (F), according with the type of cooking:
-
Low, medium low, medium, medium high and high powers (F1, F3, F4, F5 and
F6):
cooking by the micro-wave process can be quick or slow depending on the selected
power. The power in conjugation with the cooking time will allow the correct food’s
confection. Select the time and the power better suited for the food to be cooked - see
“Power table”.
-
Defrost (F2):
defrosting food in the microwave is quicker and presents better results
than the other defrost processe, since it allows the correct defrosting, maintaining food’s
nutritive value. Select the defrost program (F2) and the desired time - see “Power table”.
-
Select the necessary cooking time on the timer (G).
-
To select a time period of less than 2 minutes, you must turn the timer (G) to more than 2
minutes and than adjust it to the desired time.

center to the recipient’s extremity, for an even cooking.
-
If more cooking time is need, increase it as necessary on timer (G).
Note: do not exceed the cooking time indicated on the food’s package. Overcooked food
may burn or ignite.
-
When the food is removed before time ends or when the appliance is not being used,
turn the timer (G) to the “0” position (off).

-
Put the food to defrost in such a way that the defrosting liquid does not come into contact
with it so the cook process doesn’t start.
-
Follow the defrosting process by removing the defrosted pieces. Place the food still
frozen in the microwave to finish defrosting.
-
Turn food over after half the selected defrosting time as passed. The food parts already
defrosted that cannot be detached may be protected with kitchen paper.
-
The defrosting function (F2) works with 40% of the total power. If you wish to reduce the
defrosting time, you may use the medium-low power program (F3) that needs less function
time since it has more power. Follow the defrosting process to avoid that the cooking
process begins before desired.
-
To defrost butter, cakes, curd cheese, fruit or legumes, they must be completely
unpacked and defrosted partially. Allow them to finish defrosting at room temperature.
